Kathryn Kahiwa Chung joined Hawai`i Maoli as the Executive Director in January, 2008. With a background in both corporate marketing and non-profit organizations, Kathryn brings a wealth of experience and expertise needed to guide the organization forward. She is a graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa, having earned both her Bachelor and Master of Business Administration degrees, majoring in marketing and decision sciences.

Now retired from GTE Hawaiian Tel/Verizon, Kathryn has also done independent consulting for the state as well as private businesses. She was formerly the Executive Director of the Epilepsy Foundation of Hawaii before joining Hawai`i Maoli this year.

Kathryn has been active in the community doing volunteer work for the past 24 years, and enjoys traveling to far off lands and experiencing different cultures.
